Support for Tinubu and Fubara by Secondus, Sekibo, and Others

Expressing their loyalty and backing, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, along with members of the Presidential Campaign Council of the party for the 2023 general elections in Rivers State, have thrown their support behind President Bola Tinubu and the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

During a news conference in Port Harcourt on Thursday, the declaration was made by former Minister of Transportation and the Director-General of PDP-PCC Rivers State, Dr. Abiye Sekibo.

The briefing was attended by several prominent figures including Secondus, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Austin Opara, former deputy governor of the state, Celestine Omehia, Tele Ikuru, Senator Lee Maeba, and former Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr. Gabriel Pidomson, among others.

In the previous elections, the council had thrown its weight behind the PDP presidential candidate in 2023, Atiku Abubakar.
