Police Presence Boosted in Nasarawa for Easter Festivities
For the upcoming Easter celebrations, the Nasarawa State Police Command has taken measures by deploying more than 2000 officers throughout the state.
In a press release signed by DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Command’s spokesperson, it was highlighted that this action is intended to ensure a peaceful and orderly Easter celebration for the Christian community in the region.
CP Umar Shehu Nadadai, the Commissioner of Police, extended his best wishes to Christians and mentioned that the deployed personnel will be stationed at various key locations such as worship places, recreation spots, and both public and private premises.
A section of the statement emphasized, “In line with this, over Two Thousand (2000) Police officers have been strategically placed across the state to prevent and control criminal activities during the festive season.”
Additionally, continuous surveillance, intelligence gathering, and targeted policing will be upheld to secure vulnerable areas, ensure public safety, and protect properties.
The statement also calls upon the public to cooperate with the police force, who have been instructed to maintain a friendly but firm presence in safeguarding travelers and all road users during this period.
CP Nadadai reassured the community of the Command’s unwavering dedication to safeguarding lives and properties not only for Easter but ongoing.
