Pep Guardiola highlights five Man City players after securing a 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest
Following a remarkable 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola took a moment to commend five of his players.
The goals from Josko Gvardiol and Erling Haaland contributed to the reigning champions maintaining their position in the title race alongside frontrunners Arsenal.
Despite this, City still have a game in hand compared to the Gunners.
During a discussion about the team’s performance at the Forest Ground, Guardiola emphasized on their strong defensive efforts, particularly highlighting the contributions of Manu Akanji, Nathan Ake, and Josko Gvardiol.
He further added, “In the final 30 minutes, we saw a better game control when Bernardo Silva operated centrally alongside Kova Kovacic.”
Guardiola expressed, “We are a ball-possession reliant team. Each match poses its own challenges, and we were aware of the difficulty today. Nonetheless, we secured the win and continue our journey forward.”
