Kenneth Okonkwo: Peter Obi – the focus for 2027, not LP
According to former Labour Party presidential campaign council spokesperson and Nollywood actor Kenneth Okonkwo, any turmoil within the party will not impact Peter Obi if he decides to pursue the presidency again in 2027.
Okonkwo emphasized that the essence of politics lies in the individual candidate rather than the political affiliation.
During a recent interview with Arise TV, he highlighted that Peter Obi symbolizes a vision of “a new Nigeria” irrespective of the party he represents.
He expressed, “The focus for 2027 is on Peter Obi, not on the Labour Party. Anyone advocating for Peter Obi is championing the cause of a new Nigeria, a fresh third force, and ultimately, assured victory.
“During elections, the spotlight is on the candidates, not the parties. Peter Obi brought a surge of energy to the Labour Party. He has no reason to fret over the internal dynamics of any political party. How long was his tenure with the Labour Party? Yet, he made a substantial impact. His supporters are devoted to him. The new Nigeria is in allegiance with his ideals.”
