Finidi George Reveals His Favorite Nigerian Football Players of All Time
A former Nigerian national team winger and interim coach, Finidi George, has recently shared who he believes are the top players ever to come out of Nigeria.
Hailing from Rivers state, Finidi had a successful career playing for clubs like Ajax Amsterdam and Real Betis, notably winning the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria in 1994.
In an exclusive interview with Victor Modo in Morocco, Finidi listed his ultimate XI team based on his time playing alongside them at the World Cup in the United States.
Finidi’s Dream Super Eagles XI includes legendary names like Rufai, Eguavoen, Okechukwu, Keshi, Iroha, Finidi himself, Oliseh, Okocha, Amuneke, Amokachi, and Yekini.
During his tenure as Nigeria’s coach for two friendly matches in the recent FIFA International window, he led the team to a 2-1 victory over Ghana but suffered a 2-0 defeat against Mali.
