In an address to members of the Family Support Group at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State assured the people that his administration will not be prematurely ended. He expressed confidence in his victory in the 2023 gubernatorial election and urged the residents not to worry about their safety and property.
Stressing that his government stands for the welfare of all residents, including youth, women, and men, Governor Fubara affirmed, through his representative, Dr. George Nwaeke, the commitment to serving the people until the end of his tenure.
According to a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara stated, “The people of Rivers State have given us a clear mandate through a fair election, and we intend to honor that mandate till the end. Nothing will hinder us from fulfilling our duties.”
He highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects such as the Port Harcourt Ring Road and the Trans-Kalabari Road, signaling progress in improving the state’s transport network. He also mentioned the commencement of the Elele-Egbeda-Omoku Road dualization project, indicating the government’s commitment to enhancing road infrastructure across the state.
