According to sources, the assailants targeted mourners at Ugwuijoro Nimbo community, leaving behind a trail of devastation and grief.

Among those who lost their lives are Okeh Simon Ugwu Oruku, Okeh Chukwuebuka, Julius Ogbonna Odiegwu, and Gabriel Ugwor Ezea.

A disturbing video discovered on Monday morning by NewsNow depicted a ghostly, abandoned community.

The narrator in the video described how the invaders caught the villagers off guard, unleashing a hail of gunfire on the mourners. The scene was chaotic, with tables and chairs strewn about, and lifeless bodies lying in pools of blood.

It is worth noting that Nimbo had previously been attacked in 2016, resulting in numerous casualties that sparked national outrage.

At present, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Enugu State Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, has not yet responded to inquiries made by NewsNow regarding the recent attack.
