Paris Saint-Germain secures Ligue 1 title
Confirmation has been received that Paris Saint-Germain is the champion of Ligue 1.
The victory follows AS Monaco’s loss to Lyon in an away match on Sunday.
PSG managed a 3-3 draw against Le Havre on Saturday, which meant they were dependent on their rivals Monaco not securing a victory last weekend.
With Monaco now 11 points behind, their defeat has solidified PSG’s lead in the standings.
With only three matches remaining this season, PSG is well on its way to potentially clinching all four available trophies.
The club has dominated with 10 Ligue 1 titles in the last 13 seasons since being acquired by state-backed Qatari Sports Investment in 2011.
