Investigation Launched by Police Following Assassination of Aiyedatiwa’s Campaign Coordinator by Gunmen

The Ondo State Police Command has initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Mr. Alaba Abe, a ward coordinator for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s campaign organization.

Reports revealed that Abe, popularly known as Excel, was fatally shot on Saturday night by individuals suspected to be hired assassins.

He served as one of the campaign coordinators for the governor during the recent All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Ondo State.

Additionally, Abe held the position of Returning Officer for the party’s primary election at Ward 10 in the council area.

Confirming the incident, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, stated that an investigation into the matter has been launched.

In her statement, Odunlami mentioned, “Yes, it is true. The command has initiated an investigation to uncover all the details surrounding the incident.”
