Young Nigerian striker, Martin Obi, bags seven goals to lead Arsenal to a 7-0 victory
Impressively, Arsenal’s rising star, Chido Martin Obi, found the back of the net seven times as the team’s U-18 squad dominated Norwich City with a 9-0 win over the weekend.
In a remarkable first-half performance, the 16-year-old sensation scored five goals.
Martin Obi wasted no time in securing two hat-tricks within just 17 minutes of play.
After the break, he added two more goals to his tally, bringing his total to an outstanding 24 goals in the last seven matches.
However, the Danish prodigy’s most significant achievement this season remains the ten goals he scored in a single game when Arsenal’s U-16 side triumphed over Liverpool with a 14-3 scoreline back in November.
Following this result, Arsenal now sits third in the U-18 Premier League South, trailing league leaders Chelsea by seven points, with Chelsea having a game in hand, and second-placed West Ham United ahead of them.
Martin Obi, who has a Nigerian father and a Danish mother, has represented both Denmark and England at the international youth level.
