Keeping their championship aspirations alive, Rangers and Enyimba clinched crucial victories at home in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Sunday.
At the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu, Plateau United faced a 2-0 defeat against Rangers.
For the Coal City club, Chiedozie Okorie and Godwin Obaje found the back of the net.
Rangers stayed at the top of the table with 57 points after 32 matches.
In Aba, Enyimba overcame Katsina United with a narrow 1-0 win.
Chijioke Mbaoma scored the decisive goal in the 60th minute.
Mbaoma’s goal marked his 14th in the league this season for the People’s Elephant.
Following this victory, Enyimba climbed to the second spot in the standings.
