Jamie Carragher Criticizes Liverpool Star Salah for Remarks on Klopp
In a recent incident, Liverpool great Jamie Carragher has labeled Mohamed Salah as “daft” for his comments made in the mixed zone following a spat with manager Jurgen Klopp.
Salah was left out of the starting lineup for Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against West Ham last Saturday.
The Egyptian forward appeared displeased with Klopp when he was eventually brought on in the 79th minute.
As Michail Antonio scored to level the game, cameras captured Salah and Klopp in a heated exchange, with Darwin Nunez intervening.
Post-match, Salah indicated to reporters, “If I speak, there will be fire.”
Reflecting on this, Carragher expressed on X: “Mo Salah and Jurgen Klopp are both legends at Liverpool. It is unnecessary to pick sides. Salah’s frustration and anger towards Klopp for not starting him resulted in him not wanting to fully embrace the manager at that moment, which understandably irked Klopp.”
