An unfortunate incident involving a gas tanker explosion has taken place at Ita-Oshin, Abeokuta, situated on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. Tragically, one person lost their life, while two others sustained injuries.
Mrs. Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the Ogun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed this incident to reporters in Abeokuta on Saturday. The occurrence was stated to have happened at 4:10 pm.
Providing details, the FRSC representative mentioned that the incident involved six individuals. Tragically, one person, identified as the motor boy, succumbed to the incident, while two others were injured and promptly taken to the hospital.
“The mishap involved a total of five vehicles, including two Nissan cars with the registration numbers AAN 544 YC and LSD 993 CY, a Sino tanker bearing the marking T23771 LA, a Micra with the marking GDB 841 XR, and a Honda CRV lacking a visible registration number,” she elaborated.
