Concerns from Ondo State Government over Sunshine Stars’ Performance

The performance of Nigeria Premier Football League club, Sunshine Stars, has left the Ondo State Government disappointed.

During a recent visit to the players before their match against Shooting Stars, the state’s Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Hon Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, expressed his dissatisfaction.

In his address, Ogunleye urged the players to strive to make the people proud with their performance on the field.

He acknowledged the hard work of both the players and the technical team, encouraging them not to give up despite facing challenges.

“The reasons for our unhappiness are clear,” Ogunleye emphasized as he relayed a message from the Governor to the team.

“I have come to share the Governor’s goodwill message with you. We believe in your capabilities and I assure you that if you secure a victory in the upcoming match, we will celebrate your success,” he added.

“Go out there and do us proud. I have faith in your abilities, and may God’s favor be with you. Remember, Shooting Stars can be defeated,” he concluded.

Sunshine Stars are set to face Shooting Stars in a South West derby at the Lekan Salami Stadium today, Sunday.
