Champions League Qualification Secured by Arsenal as Chelsea Draws 2-2 with Aston Villa in EPL
Arsenal has officially secured a spot in next season’s Champions League after Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Aston Villa over the weekend.
In the match, Unai Emery’s team, also aiming for Champions League qualification, took the lead thanks to an own goal by Marc Cucurella. They further extended their lead with a goal scored by Rogers before halftime.
However, Chelsea fought back strongly with goals from Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher.
Following the draw, Aston Villa is standing at 67 points with only three games remaining in the season, while Arsenal is currently at 77 points with four matches left and a crucial fixture against Tottenham Hotspur scheduled for Sunday.
