Zamfara CP Distributes N50m Cheques to 27 Families of Deceased Police Personnel
Presenting a total of N50.1 million in cheques to 27 families of deceased police personnel, Zamfara Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Shehu Dalijan, did so on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
The State police command’s spokesperson, ASP Yazid Abubakar, stated that these cheques were part of the IGP’s initiative within the Group Personal Accident and IGP Family Welfare Insurance Scheme of the Force – aiming to support families of officers who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
During the cheque presentation, the Commissioner praised the IGP for this generous act and encouraged the families of the fallen officers to use the money wisely to provide for their families.
One beneficiary, expressing gratitude as she received her cheque from CP Mohammed Shehu, appreciated the Commissioner for the thoughtful gesture.
Mr. Yahaya Umar, speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, praised the Inspector General of Police and the State Police Command for their assistance, assuring that the funds would be utilized appropriately.
