EPL Update: Man Utd Could Secure Europa League Qualification for Next Season – Ten Hag
After their recent match against Burnley ended in a 1-1 draw, Manchester United’s manager Erik ten Hag acknowledged the likelihood of his team playing in the Europa League next season.
Ten Hag shared his thoughts with BBC Match of the Day, expressing his views on the match outcome.
The game saw Antony scoring for United in the 79th minute, followed by Zeki Amdouni equalizing from a penalty kick.
With this result, Ten Hag’s squad currently sits in sixth place with 54 points and four more games remaining in the season.
Manchester United now stands 12 points adrift of Aston Villa, the team currently holding the coveted last spot for the Champions League.
When questioned about the likelihood of Europa League qualification, Ten Hag responded, emphasizing the challenging situation they face: “That is the reality. Securing the fourth position from our current standing is quite a challenge.”
Reflecting on their recent performances, Ten Hag noted, “We have missed opportunities to secure wins in the past few weeks. The gap is substantial at this stage of the season.”
