Commencement of Accreditation and Voting in Oyo LG Election
In the ongoing local government election in Oyo State, accreditation and voting processes have started at various polling units in Ibadan.
The election, overseen by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC), is taking place across the 33 local government areas.
There have been some reports of delayed arrival of election materials at certain polling units, as observed by NewsNow.
Among the local government areas covered so far are Ido, Ibadan North, and Ibadan North East.
At Ward 11, Polling Unit 1 in Ibadan North East, accreditation and voting activities have officially kicked off.
An electoral official informed our team that the process commenced at about 8:30 am.
Speaking further, the official stated, “This is Ward 11, Unit 1 in Ibadan North East. Accreditation and voting started at 8:30 am. Voters have been turning up to cast their votes here.
“There is a steady flow of voters participating in the voting exercise,” added the official.
