New Traditional Head of Gade Chiefdom Appointed by Governor Sule in Nasarawa
Alhaji Aminu Sulaiman has been appointed as the new Gomo Babye of Gade Chiefdom in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
The appointment, as announced by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma-Aliyu, comes after a successful selection exercise that took place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
Following the passing of the late Alhaji Aliyu Baba Daudu on Monday, July 24, 2023, the new Gomo Babye now takes over the position.
Describing the new traditional leader, Ubandoma-Aliyu mentioned that “Alhaji Aminu Sulaiman, the new Gomo Babye, is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and Lagos State University with Bachelor of Science and Masters Degrees in Social Studies and Social Works, respectively. Prior to this appointment, he served as a retired Deputy-Controller of Customs (Federal Operations Unit) and has interests in community and cultural development, long and table tennis. He is happily married with children.”
Gomo Babye holds the position of a first-class traditional chief in Nasarawa State.
