Jerome Akor Adams, Montpellier striker, expresses optimism for Super Eagles opportunity
Having a strong desire to break into the Super Eagles team, Montpellier striker Jerome Akor Adams remains hopeful about his chances in the near future.
With a promising start to his career at Montpellier earlier in the season, Adams was widely expected to receive an invitation to join the Super Eagles.
After transferring from Norwegian club Lillestrom last summer, the forward impressed by netting seven goals in his first 10 games for the Ligue 1 outfit.
Although he has not scored for Montpellier since November 2023, the 24-year-old has been a consistent presence on the field for his club.
Optimistic about his international prospects, Adams is confident that he will seize the opportunity to make a mark on the global stage soon.
In an interview with BBC’s Oluwashina Okeleji, Adams expressed his determination, stating, “We all have our place and we are privileged to have so many good strikers and so many good players. So, when the time comes, I’ll take the opportunity. It’s a dream for every Nigerian kid, which I am one of.”
