2027: Allegations from AYCF About Conspiracy Against Tinubu by Northern Political Elites

Claims have been made by the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum, AYCF, stating that a faction of the northern political elites is secretly working to obstruct President Bola Tinubu from running for re-election in 2027.

The forum further asserts that the current unrest and protests in the North are part of a larger scheme to hinder Tinubu’s potential candidacy in 2027.

Yerima Shettima, the President General of AYCF, has alleged that the conspiracy involves creating unreasonable and impracticable standards for the Tinubu administration, with the intention of discrediting the government and influencing public opinion against it.

He stated, “The campaign to defame and destabilize is a strategic maneuver to weaken Tinubu’s support in the North, with Bello Mohammed Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence, being the main focus.”

As per his statement, the relentless attacks on prominent Tinubu associates are part of a broader plan to disrupt the government and impede any chance of Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

AYCF expressed regret over these actions, interpreting them as desperate measures by individuals seeking power to obstruct the administration’s advancements and counter its anti-corruption initiatives.

He further mentioned, “The calculated actions by anti-Tinubu groups are premature, and AYCF cautions against the deliberate spread of misinformation and the utilization of obscure factions to undermine the President’s supporters and tarnish his image.”

Therefore, AYCF urged President Tinubu and his team to remain vigilant and steadfast in their dedication to the nation’s progress, advising the President to be wary of the smear campaigns orchestrated against his administration and concentrate on fulfilling the pledges made to the Nigerian populace.

“It is essential for the government to maintain its focus on objectives, show resilience against challenges, and strive towards securing a stable and prosperous future for Nigeria. To safeguard the nation’s progress and growth, the administration must be prepared to anticipate and address these tactics,” he suggested.

AYCF criticized the absurdity of any group assessing and critiquing an administration that is barely a year old against unrealistic expectations and biased judgment criteria.
