Electricity supply disrupted in Abuja and Lagos due to technical glitches



Power outages are affecting communities in Abuja, Lagos, and Nasarawa due to technical issues.

The Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company has reported service disruptions caused by significant load restrictions at several transmission load centres.

The affected transmission stations include Oworo, Maryland, Itire, Isolo, Ogba, Alausa, Ejigbo, Alimosho, among others.

“The ongoing service disruption is a result of significant load restrictions across our transmission load centres, notably impacting:

“Oworo TS, Maryland TS, Itire TS, Isolo TS, Ogba TS, Alausa TS, Ejigbo TS, Alimosho TS, Ilupeju TS, Ayobo TS.

“We apologize for any inconvenience caused and are actively working with stakeholders to restore normal operations,” stated the Ikeja DisCo.

Similarly, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company alerted its Nasarawa customers to the power outage caused by transmission lines brought down by windstorms.

Moreover, technical faults have plunged some parts of FCT into darkness.

“Residents in Nasarawa State: Uke, Gidan Zakara, Gora, Auta-Baleifi, Tukur Farm, CS Farm, Masaka, Keffi GRA, Luvu, Dunamis Community 1&2, Dadin Kowa, Keffi, and surrounding areas are currently without power due to line damages from strong winds.
