Bobrisky Arrested by EFCC for Naira Abuse

The arrest and detention of the controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission were due to allegations of naira abuse, including spraying of naira notes and currency mutilation.

Bobrisky, who has been engulfed in various controversies recently, was apprehended in Lagos on Wednesday night and is currently being held at the EFCC’s Lagos Command.

In a telephone conversation on Thursday, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed the arrest and detention, mentioning that Bobrisky will face legal charges.

Oyewale stated, “Bobrisky is in our custody. He was apprehended last night in Lagos and is currently at our Lagos command. The arrest is related to suspected offenses including naira abuse, spraying of naira notes, and currency mutilation.”

“Our commitment to upholding the integrity of the naira is unwavering. While investigations are ongoing, Bobrisky will be prosecuted soon.”
