APC Generates N720 Million from 16 Aspirants in Ondo State Governorship Race

As the All Progressives Congress, APC, concludes the sales of expression of interest and nomination forms for its governorship primaries in Ondo State, the party has amassed roughly N720 million in revenue.

A total of 16 aspirants, including 14 male and 2 female contenders, obtained the forms to compete for the party’s ticket in the upcoming November 16 governorship election.

Of the 16 aspirants, the male candidates acquired the forms at a cost of N50 million each, while the female aspirants paid N10 million each exclusively for the expression of interest form, reflecting the party’s consideration for gender and persons with disabilities.

The sales and distribution of the forms commenced on March 27 and concluded on April 3, 2024.

Some of the notable male aspirants who procured the forms include Governor Lucky Ayiedatiwa, Olusoji Ehinlanwo, Jimi Odimayo, Jimoh Ibrahim, and APC National Vice Chairman (South West) Isaacs Kekemeke.

Additional male candidates include Wale Akinterinwa, Olugbenga Edema, Olusola Oke (SAN), Olamide Ohunyeye, Morayo Lebi, Oladiran Iyantan, Prof. Francis Faduyile, Mayowa Akinfolarin, and Ifeoluwa Oyedele.

The two female aspirants who are part of the race are Funmilayo Adekojo and Funke Omogoroye.

As per the guidelines, all aspirants must complete and submit the forms to the Directorate of Organisation by Friday, April 5.
