William Gallas Criticizes Pochettino’s Utilization of Chelsea Star in Inappropriate Roles

Expressing his disapproval, former Chelsea defender, William Gallas, has questioned manager Mauricio Pochettino’s strategies regarding the deployment of Conor Gallagher, highlighting that the midfielder is being positioned incorrectly.

Throughout this season, Gallagher has been assigned various roles at Chelsea, such as those in attacking midfield, central midfield, and defensive midfield.

In his observation, Gallas remarked, “Gallagher does not excel as a playmaker; rather, he thrives as a ball-winning midfielder with exceptional stamina and high pressing ability.”

He further emphasized, “In order for Gallagher to shine, the team around him should consist of players with complementary skill sets, like a playmaker capable of swift passes through the lines and providing crucial assists. Sadly, Gallagher does not possess these qualities, hence the inefficacy of his deployment in such a role at Chelsea.”

Gallas commented, “There appears to be a lack of synergy among the trio of Gallagher, Moises Caicedo, and Enzo Fernandez. This mismatch underscores the absence of a coherent vision at the management level, leading to haphazard acquisitions for the team.”
