Offering insights into his team selection, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta disclosed why Bukayo Saka was left out of the squad for the game against Luton Town on Wednesday night.

After sustaining an injury during the 0-0 draw against Manchester City, Saka did not even make it to the substitutes’ bench.

In an interview with TNT Sports, Arteta stated, “He had to be substituted during the Manchester City game just three days ago due to some discomfort.

Because he was unable to participate fully in the required preparations to start the match, we made the decision not to include him in the lineup.”

Kai Havertz will lead the attack alongside Leandro Trossard and Reiss Nelson.

Arsenal aims to secure the top spot in the Premier League table, even if only temporarily, with a victory.
