The APC in Edo State has carried out the Ward Delegates Congress across the 192 wards in the 18 local governments to select five delegates from each ward. This was disclosed by the State Acting Chairman of the party, Jarrett Tenebe, during a press conference in Benin City.
Tenebe emphasized that the congress was conducted in accordance with the amended electoral act. The five delegates consist of three males and two females, with a total of 960 delegates elected across the state.
The Ward delegates are slated to validate the results of the direct governorship primary. Tenebe assured that a fair and transparent environment would be provided for the 12 aspirants, with no endorsement from the party for any cleared aspirants.
He urged party members to stay dedicated to the party’s principles and ideals.
