No recruitment into Osun civil service — State Govt

Ignore false reports on boreholes in LGs Osun govt

The State Government of Osun has issued a statement denying reports of mass recruitment into the state’s civil service. Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, confirmed that the sale of forms by the Osun State Civil Service Commission is a regular official process and does not indicate mass recruitment. The government clarified that the approval was for the recruitment of 500 new teachers and 250 education officers. It warned the public not to mistake the ongoing recruitment of teachers as a mass recruitment exercise for the state’s civil service. The government advised those who have already acquired forms to keep them safe until an official announcement is made for any potential mass recruitment. It emphasized that the current approved recruitment drive is solely for the engagement of additional teachers and education officers to fill existing vacancies in the state’s teaching service. The statement reaffirmed that any future mass recruitment into the Civil Service will be announced through official channels.
