In preparation for the 2025 gubernatorial election in Anambra, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah from Anambra South has pledged to unseat Governor Charles Soludo.

Ubah believes he has what it takes to defeat Soludo, asserting that his expertise in street politics surpasses the governor’s proficiency in economics.

He emphasized the need for political change in Anambra, expressing that the state cannot remain dominated by a single party.

During a press briefing on Tuesday, the lawmaker stated, “I may not hold a Professorship in Economics, but I consider myself a Professor of street politics.”

“Anambra cannot perpetuate one-party rule. The populace yearns for change, and we trust that the President understands the potential within Anambra as well.

“Our state requires a governor whose fundamental goal is to establish a safe environment for human development. We need a leader who will prioritize the security of lives and property, while also enhancing the well-being of our citizens to enable them to fulfill their potential,” he added.

“We must elect a governor who can translate promises into tangible actions because empty words have only served to deceive our people for too long. It’s time for action.”
