Vice President Kashim Shettima has called for peaceful coexistence among residents in the Northern part of Nigeria to ensure the rapid growth of the nation’s economy. He emphasized the need to unite against poverty and backwardness, instead of the steady attacks on one another. Shettima made this appeal during the inauguration of the 5 kilometers Masaka-Luvu Road in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, citing the potential for anarchy if the issue of insecurity is not properly addressed.

He commended Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, for initiating infrastructural projects aimed at improving the lives of residents. Sule explained that the Masaka-Luvu Road was constructed to ease the sufferings of the residents and provide them with easy access to new socio-economic opportunities from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, due to its proximity to the area.

Sule also praised the contractor for delivering the project according to specifications, expressing confidence that the well-constructed road will last for at least the next 15 years.
