Perpetrators won’t go unpunished — FG

The Federal Government has assured that those responsible for the Christmas Eve killings in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State will be apprehended and brought to justice. Gunmen had attacked communities in the two LGAs, resulting in the death of over 150 people.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that the perpetrators of this heinous act face the full force of the law. He expressed solidarity with the people of Plateau State during this challenging period and emphasized the government’s determination to leave no stone unturned in apprehending both the collaborators and prime suspects involved in the crime against humanity.

Gaidam also extended prayers for the swift recovery of the injured citizens and the security agencies involved in maintaining security in the affected villages. He highlighted the importance of unity, cooperation with security agencies, and the provision of vital information to assist in the apprehension of the criminals who are currently on the run.
