Melchiot Criticizes Chelsea Attacker for Lack of Composure

In a 2-1 victory for the Blues against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, former Chelsea defender Mario Melchiot criticized Nicolas Jackson for his performance and lack of composure in front of goal.

Melchiot observed that Jackson missed a crucial one-on-one chance during the Stamford Bridge encounter, where goals from Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke secured the win for Chelsea against the visitors.

Speaking to ESPN, Melchiot commented on Jackson’s struggle, mentioning the competition within the team and comparing him to Nkunku, noting that Jackson needs to work on his composure, a vital trait for a successful striker.

Highlighting the importance of composure, Melchiot drew comparisons to past Chelsea strikers like Hasselbaink and Drogba, emphasizing the calmness they exhibited when facing the goal, a quality he believes Jackson needs to develop.
