Governor of Ekiti Signs N159.5bn Budget into Law




Titled “Budget of Sustainable Growth and Development,” the 2024 Appropriation amounts to N159.5bn, with 56 percent allocated for recurrent expenditure and 44 percent for capital expenditure.

Oyebanji restated his administration’s commitment to ensuring full implementation of the budget to drive sustainable growth and enhance the standard of living for the state’s residents.

He stated, “The budget is expected to stimulate economic activities, create job opportunities, and improve the overall socio-economic landscape of the state, as well as assist our government in delivering on our campaign promises and fulfilling our obligation to the people.”

Expressing gratitude to the Speaker and members of the House of Assembly for their thorough review of the budget, Oyebanji commended the quality of debate and scrutiny put in place by the members.

Addressing the Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, Oyebanji emphasized the commitment to concretely implementing the budget through collaborative oversight.

The Speaker, Adeoye Aribasoye, mentioned that the House of Assembly is dedicated to collaborating with the executive arm of government for the overall development of the state.
