Forbes’ 20th annual ranking, unveiled in early December 2023, positioned the Nigerian economist at the 87th spot, with South African businesswoman Mpumi Madisa following closely at 88th.

In her reaction, Mo Abudu, occupying the 98th position, urged African women to challenge barriers despite the prevalent discrimination they face.

Further, she emphasized the importance of intertwining spirituality with aspirations, noting, “Being listed among Forbes’ top African women is undoubtedly a divine feat. While I refrain from delving into the spiritual realm concerning work, I strongly believe in its place. Every morning, I seek God’s blessings for my endeavors.”
