EPL Woods hat trick downs Newcastle

The win marked Forest’s first in eight games and only their second in their last 15 matches, moving them five points clear of the relegation zone. On the other hand, Newcastle suffered their fifth defeat in their last seven games, leaving them in seventh place, seven points adrift of the top four.

In another match, Luton secured a 3-2 win against Sheffield United with the help of two late own goals. The victory brought Luton within one point from safety, while United remained at the bottom of the table. Notably, the match was also significant for being the first Premier League game officiated by a black referee in 15 years, with Sam Allison taking the whistle.

Bournemouth also had a successful 3-0 win against Fulham, and later on, Liverpool had the opportunity to climb above leaders Arsenal with a draw or win against Burnley. Meanwhile, Aston Villa aimed to strengthen their unexpected title challenge with a victory at troubled Manchester United.
