CG Adeniyi leads inauguration of board members for Customs companies to enhance revenue generation



Adewale Adeniyi, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, has inaugurated new chairpersons and members for the four Customs companies in a bid to drive revenue generation.

The inauguration took place at the Customs Headquarters in Abuja, where Adeniyi emphasized the critical role of Customs Service Technical & Hanger Services Limited, Nigeria Customs Service Training & Hotels Limited, Nigeria Customs Service Hospital Limited, and Nigeria Customs Broadcast Network Limited in revenue generation for the Federal Government.

Adeniyi also highlighted that the registration of these companies is part of the agenda to enhance the well-being of officers, acknowledging their significant contribution to revenue generation and the implementation of government fiscal policies.

Addressing the diverse business concerns such as aviation services, healthcare, and broadcasting services, the Customs CG emphasized that board members have been selected from relevant departments including officers and representatives from the Ministry of Finance who are well-versed in managing the companies’ affairs.

He mentioned that the NCS is taking inspiration from other successful government ministries and parastatals engaged in similar ventures, expressing optimism that the newly inaugurated board will steer the companies towards stability and profitability.

ACG AO Alajogun will chair Nigeria Customs Services’ Technical and Hanger Service Limited, ACG Dappa-Williams will chair Nigeria Customs Service Training and Hotels Limited, ACG Ibrahim Alfa will head Nigeria Customs Service Hospital Limited, and Comptroller Kamal Muhammad will lead Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network Limited.

Adeniyi urged the board members to ensure effective management, focus on discharging their duties and responsibilities, and assured them of his support and guidance.
