Nile University Celebrates 84 First Class Graduates Out of 1,251

Additionally, 632 postgraduate students will be graduating, with 45 set to receive Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The VC also revealed that 203 students were awarded second-class (honours) upper division, 229 with second-class (honours) lower division, and 10 with third-class (honours) degrees.
The institution has focused on enhancing the graduates’ employability skills, with a 60% global employability rate for its graduates. The VC emphasized the increase in the enrolment quota and the establishment of three new academic complexes, including the only STEM state-of-the-art building in Nigeria.
During the upcoming convocation, two distinguished Nigerians, Dr. Mohammed Indimi and Prof. Isaac Adewole, will be conferred with honorary degrees in oil and petroleum engineering, as well as in medical sciences, respectively. The convocation lecture will be delivered by educationist Prof. Sulaiman Bogoro, former executive secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund.
