Former Niger deputy gov, two others dump PDP for APC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has experienced a setback as former Niger state Deputy Governor, Ahmed Musa Ibeto, former Nigerian ambassador to South Africa, and two other top stalwarts have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Ibrahim Egbo, a former member of the House of Representatives, and Alhaji Abubakar Azozo, former Niger State Commissioner of Water Resources, also made the switch.
The trio cited the purposeful leadership style of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago as their reason for joining APC. Ibeto emphasized that his decision was a matter of personal conviction, dispelling any speculation about monetary incentives or political appointments influencing his choice.
The state chairman of APC, Alh Aminu Musa Bobi, revealed that the party is creating a database for all political appointees in the state to enhance their accountability and accessibility to the grassroots level.
