Just a few days ago, Wizkid chastised his millions of fans who were pressuring him to release new music.

In a series of Instagram story posts, Wizkid disclosed that he was on vacation and planned to return in 4 years. He emphasized the desire to savor the fruits of his labor before continuing his music career.

He further added that he might extend the vacation to 5 years or explore a new career such as sports like soccer, golf, or wrestling.

Months earlier, Wizkid sparked a debate online with his view on rap music in Nigeria, deeming the genre as lifeless and tedious.

The father of four expressed his disinterest in rap music, labelling it as “dead and boring,” and highlighted a recurring pattern among African rappers.
