Similarly, in Abule-Osho, Olambe area, a seven-year-old girl who had left her house to buy a snack was suspected to have been defiled by an unknown man. According to the police, the girl had left her grandmother’s house to buy a snack at a nearby stall when she was allegedly dragged to a nearby bush by an unknown man and defiled on Thursday. The defilement led to uncontrollable bleeding from the minor’s private part and she was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
In response to the crimes, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed both incidents and stated that efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects. Odutola mentioned, “Efforts are on top gear to begin arresting those involved in the crime. Our men visited the scenes of the crimes. We have also commenced intelligence gathering to arrest the suspects for prosecution.”
