Maj. Gen. Edward Buba stated that the troops are currently conducting fighting patrols in the area of the incident to locate and eliminate the terrorists. The injured victims have been evacuated to the specialists’ hospital in Damaturu for treatment, while the deceased police officer’s body has been taken to the hospital’s mortuary.
Operations are ongoing to track down and neutralize the attackers, as emphasized in the statement released. The injured victims are currently receiving medical attention, and efforts are underway to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice.
