Fubara Urges New Rivers CP to Uphold Professionalism

Speaking on Monday during a courtesy visit, Fubara welcomed Disu, who had recently assumed the role as the 45th commissioner of police in Rivers State.
He stated, “Your experience and knowledge are crucial at this particular time in our dear state when insecurity is escalating due to mismanagement of the situation. We believe that your familiarity with Rivers State will be an added advantage. I urge you to uphold professionalism.”
Fubara pledged ongoing support from the state government to enable the police command in fulfilling its duties.
“As you align with the vision and goals of our President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, be aware that the state government is receptive. We only expect fair and just crime-fighting efforts,” the governor added.
In his response, Disu assured the governor of his commitment to implementing a proactive policing strategy, emphasizing effective surveillance and cultivating mutual trust within the police force and the public to protect life and property.
He further promised to focus on creating a peaceful environment where Rivers residents feel secure and making it challenging for criminals to operate.
