Ex-Nasarawa United player Ibrahim charges club to secure NPFL promotion

Former Nasarawa United forward Sunusi Ibrahim has expressed optimism in the club’s ability to secure promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Montreal Impact of Canada hitman stated this during a visit to the team at Lafia City Stadium on Monday.
Sanusi revealed that he was devastated to learn about the team’s relegation to the Nigeria National League last season.
“I am so sad that Nasarawa United got relegated to the lower division, the Nigeria National League,” he told the club’s media during his visit.
“However, I strongly believe that from the crop of players here today, the team can bounce back to the Premier League immediately.
“There are still some of my teammates who are in the team, and I know their quality and what they can offer the team.
“Equally, too, the coaching crew is made up of individuals with impeccable track records as far as coaching is concerned in this country. Coupled with the support of the government, the team will return to the Premier League.”
Nasarawa United started their NNL campaign with a 1-0 victory against Zamfara United last week.
