Collaboration between FG and States for Mining Sector Reforms

The Minister assured that “The Federal Government is committed to partnering with states on the reform of the mining sector to ensure maximum benefits for host communities and accruable revenue for government.”
Expressing his gratitude, Gov. Oyebanji appreciated President Bola Tinubu for appointing a capable individual from Ekiti as the head of the solid minerals ministry. He stressed the importance of collaborating with the Federal Government on mining sector reforms for the economic development of the states.
Gov. Oyebanji also discussed the potential partnership between Ekiti and the Minister to align with the vision for the state’s development. He also emphasized the opportunities for sub-national entities in the mining sector and the potential for wealth creation, job opportunities, and increased security.
