Tinubu Intervenes in Feud Between Fubara and Wike

President Bola Tinubu has taken steps to resolve the conflict between Governor Simi Fubara of Rivers State and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
Both Fubara and Wike had exchanged pleasantries inside the Council Chambers before the Police Council meeting began.
Tinubu used the opportunity of the meeting, which both attended as members, to mediate and potentially put an end to the disagreement between the two political allies.
The President’s intervention was revealed by the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, during a briefing with State House correspondents on the meeting’s outcome. The meeting was presided over by the President at the presidential villa in Abuja.
Furthermore, Governor Muhammed, who chairs the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum (PDP-GF), stated that opposition governors have decided to cooperate with the President because he has displayed good faith by not interfering with gubernatorial cases involving PDP members that are currently before the courts.
