The Future Contenders for the Ballon d’Or, According to Messi

Lionel Messi, the forward for Inter Miami, has shared his thoughts on the players he believes will compete for the Ballon d’Or in the upcoming years.
Over the past 15 years, both Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have dominated this prestigious award.
Notably, Messi made history on Monday night as the first footballer to secure his eighth Ballon d’Or.
However, Messi has expressed that this could be his final triumph at the awards.
When asked about potential winners for the Ballon d’Or in the future, Messi stated in an interview with L’Equipe: “It could be a highly competitive race in the upcoming years with players like Haaland, Mbappe, and Vinicius Junior.”
He further added, “There are numerous young players who will vie for the Ballon d’Or. I also believe that Lamine Yamal, a player who is still very young but has already showcased impressive performances with Barcelona, could become a notable contender.”
