NUPENG Threatens Nationwide Strike Following Attack on NLC President and Labour Leaders in Owerri

In a Senate plenary session on Tuesday, Zacch Adedeji was officially confirmed as the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). President Bola Ahmed Tinubu nominated Adedeji for the position.
During the screening process, former governor Senator Adams Oshiomhole expressed his satisfaction that President Tinubu kept his promise of including the younger generation in his administration, with Adedeji’s nomination being one of those promises.
Senator Sunday Katung, who represents the Kaduna South Senatorial District, supported Adedeji’s confirmation, recalling his brilliant presentation during a lawmaker’s retreat in Ikot Ekpene. Katung urged the lawmakers to allow Adedeji to “take a bow and go.”
After addressing questions from the lawmakers regarding revenue generation for the nation, the Chamber unanimously confirmed Adedeji as the Chairman of FIRS.
Before his appointment by President Tinubu on September 14th, Zacch Adelabu Adedeji served as the Executive Secretary of the National Sugar Development Council.
