NSCDC apprehends five individuals suspected of rape in Nasarawa

In Nasarawa State, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested five individuals on suspicion of raping multiple underage girls in various locations.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Jerry Victor, revealed this information while parading the suspects in the state capital, Lafia.
Victor stated that the perpetrators committed these crimes at different times in the Nasarawa Eggon and Awe Local Government Areas.
Among the suspects, 15-year-old John Ishaku stands out as the most severe case, as he allegedly raped an 8-year-old girl in Nasarawa Eggon.
“The mother discovered that the victim was walking abnormally the next day. Upon inquiry, the little girl bravely revealed the heinous act committed by the suspect, John Ishaku,” Victor explained.
He further added, “Upon examination, it was discovered that there was a tear in her private part. As a result, she was promptly taken to the hospital. After examining her, the doctor deemed it necessary to involve the security agencies in the matter.”
In addition, the NSCDC reported that a primary school teacher named Abdulwahab Bello, along with Taimako, allegedly raped 8 and 13-year-old girls in their respective areas.
Victor reiterated the Command’s commitment to concluding the investigations and prosecuting the suspects in a court of law.
He also urged parents to closely monitor the whereabouts of their children, particularly the female ones, as they require greater care.
