If successful, Mewu will become the third Nigerian Guinness World Record holder this year, joining the ranks of 17-year-old Philip Solomon and celebrity chef Hilda Baci.
In May 2023, Solomon, a student of Oyemekun Grammar School Akure, Ondo State, set the Guinness World Record for the most skips on one foot in 30 seconds. He achieved an impressive 153 skips, surpassing the previous record of 145 held by Rasel Islam of Bangladesh.
In June 2023, Baci claimed the world record for the longest cooking marathon after cooking for a staggering 93 hours and 11 minutes. During the challenge, she prepared over 100 pots of food.
