Natasha Akpoti Rejects Gov Bello’s Congratulatory Message, Accuses Him of Attempted Murder

The congratulatory message sent to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan by Governor Yahaya Bello has been rejected by the Kogi Central Senatorial District representative.
After the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal upheld her victory, Bello extended his congratulations to Natasha. This happened after his participation in the National Police Council meeting at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
Bello referred to Natasha as his sister and stated the importance of accepting the court verdict on her victory to prevent a breakdown of law and order in the state.
However, during an appearance on Channels Television, Natasha stated that the governor had attempted to kill her on multiple occasions. She firmly believes that Bello lacks understanding of the principles of democracy.
When asked about the governor’s message on Channels Television, she responded, “I would pretty much wish you had not played the Governor’s message here because I’m just getting to watch it now. He said this is the beauty of politics, this is not the beauty of politics. You don’t endanger yourself, set out to kill people, destroy property and frustrate the electoral process because you want your candidate to win and call it the beauty of democracy.”
In addition, she claimed to have video evidence of Bello’s henchmen shooting at her vehicle. These henchmen were wearing APC shirts and one of them was identified as Amoka, who was a Returning Officer. She also mentioned that a day before the election, the governor dug five gullies to block off five roads, potentially endangering her life.
